Bob Turner and Will Furnass from the RSE team talked about methods and tools for reproducible computational workflows at one of ScHARR’s Statistics Academic Group’s regular seminars, covering:

  • The importance and purpose of software to/in research;
  • A definition of ‘good’ software;
  • The value of making data and code available inc. copyright and licensing;
  • Managing source code using version control;
  • Testing software for correctness and robustness;
  • How the RSE team can help and how researchers can collaborate with us.
